Our goal is to cultivate <strong data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"308\">biophysical skills<\/strong> through <strong data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"354\">body movement and full activation<\/strong>, which lead to <strong data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"411\">proper and holistic child development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"416\" data-end=\"722\">According to <strong data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"449\">Wickstrom (1977)<\/strong>, fundamental motor skills include <strong data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"556\">walking, running, jumping, kicking, striking, catching, and throwing<\/strong>. Movement is a natural part of <strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"612\">a young child\u2019s life<\/strong> and serves as a <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"650\">means of learning<\/strong>. As children <strong data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"681\">learn to move<\/strong>, they also <strong data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"719\">learn through movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"1106\">At <strong data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"746\">Mikros Maestros<\/strong>, we focus on helping children <strong data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"834\">understand basic motor concepts and spatial awareness<\/strong>, develop <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"875\">balance and jumping ability<\/strong>, recognize <strong data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"928\">parts of their body and how they move<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"957\">coordinate their bodies<\/strong>, move with ease, handle <strong data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1014\">both small and large objects<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1049\">improve fine motor skills<\/strong>, making their movements <strong data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1103\">more flexible and precise<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1153\"><strong data-start=\"1112\" data-end=\"1151\">The Importance of Spatial Awareness<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1636\">A special emphasis is placed on <strong data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1208\">spatial awareness<\/strong>. Each child has their <strong data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1253\">own personal space<\/strong>, which they gradually discover <strong data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1318\">through their own experiences<\/strong>. With the help of <strong data-start=\"1337\" data-end=\"1369\">specialized motor activities<\/strong> incorporated into our curriculum, children explore their <strong data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1442\">environment<\/strong>, become aware of <strong data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1495\">their body and its capabilities<\/strong>, and gradually <strong data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1541\">form a personal body image<\/strong>. This <strong data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1566\">body awareness<\/strong> becomes a reference point for understanding the <strong data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1633\">external world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1638\" data-end=\"1682\">Through these processes, children develop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"1710\"><strong data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"1708\">Spatial orientation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1713\" data-end=\"1763\"><strong data-start=\"1713\" data-end=\"1761\">An understanding of body weight and movement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1816\"><strong data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1814\">Familiarity with early mathematical concepts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1854\"><strong data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1852\">Logical-mathematical thinking<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1856\" data-end=\"1884\"><strong data-start=\"1860\" data-end=\"1882\">Music and Movement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"2102\">At <strong data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"1908\">Mikros Maestros<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1929\">music education<\/strong> plays a fundamental role.
